St. Mary Preschool promotes social development. Each day the schedule offers a wide variety of activities that include rhythm, music, art, literature, physical education, and creative movement.
Our curriculum also includes play. Play belongs to childhood and is a very important aspect of growth and development. Play allows children to be creative, develop social skills, and problem solving skills.
St. Mary has a strong legacy of preparing our students to succeed throughout Preschool - Grade 12 and beyond. We offer our students a diverse curriculum designed to meet their needs today and achieve their goals for the future.
Our students have the opportunity to take advantage of Advanced Placement Courses, Dual Credit, Technical Programs, and multiple elective options to create an academic experience that is challenging and individualized for each student. Because of this, St. Mary students have the highest composite ACT average in the area.
Our size also allows students ample opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the St. Mary experience. Students are not lost in the crowd, but rather are encouraged as individuals to take on new challenges through involvement in school activities.
St. Mary incorporates our mission into the classroom every day. We are committed to Catholic education and to promoting Gospel values while preparing students for their vocation in life through strong academics, sense of community and real-world experiences.
Our Christ-centered community welcomes students of other faiths. Currently, approximately 18% of students are of other faith disciplines. Athletics at St. Mary provide many positive attributes in a young individual: self-esteem, leadership skills, social interactions, and education about healthy lifestyle choices. Athletics develop a greater sense of purpose by teaching teamwork, forgiveness, humility, and excellence. High school athletics provides the chance for an individual to develop physically, mentally, and socially.
The St. Mary Athletic program participates in the KHSAA (Kentucky High School Athletic Association) and is a member of Region 1.
This means that our student-athletes have the chance to compete in a competitive region, and in multiple sports. In fact, 54% of our high schoolers competed in 2 or more sports.
The St. Mary Athletic Department’s philosophy is that the student athlete’s pursuits on the field should be equally measured with those off of it. The department strives to maintain an outstanding athletics program, conducted in a manner that sets an example for good sportsmanship.
