Welcome to St. Mary School System!
Our school system campus is nestled behind Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital in the city of Paducah, Kentucky. We are next to I-24, yet have a small community environment within the larger community of Paducah/McCracken County.
St. Mary offers what parents desire for their children, a safe environment combined with a unique opportunity to grow in Christ, while performing at high academic standards. Students emerge from St. Mary with a strong liberal arts education supported by technology and focused on the skills needed for today and tomorrow.
Each day our students live their faith, participate in excellent academics, visual and performing arts programs, and build lifelong habits of service to others. They have the opportunity to engage in a variety of high-quality honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Credit courses. Our extracurricular and athletic activities develop life skills of team building, decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership.
Our graduates consistently exceed local and state graduates on the ACT. All students are regularly assessed with Measures of Academic Progress (MAP grades K-6), ACT Aspire (grades 7-9), and the ACT (grades 10-12). On-going assessments, geared to course standards, are used to drive class and individual instruction.
When he was Cardinal of Argentina, Pope Francis said about Catholic schools: "The education of children and young people is such an important task in forming them as free and responsible human beings...And because education truly forms human beings, it is especially the duty and responsibility of the Church who is called to serve mankind from the heart of God and in such a way that no other institution can."
St. Mary provides the opportunity every day to learn about Jesus Christ, who is the source of our hope and salvation. Our students are invited to know Jesus personally, to love Him intimately, and to serve Him wholeheartedly. We invite you to be part of knowing and serving Jesus Christ with us.
